Monthly newsletters will be sent by e-mail at the beginning of each month. If you have not recieved one by October 5th please email ragnhild@westhillchurch.ca as soon as possible.

Happy Hearts Preschool is closed on the following holidays: Labour Day, Thanksgiving, Remembrance Day, Christmas Break, Family Day/February Break, Good Friday, Easter Break and Victoria Day.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK CLUB
Happy Hearts Prechool participates in the Scholastic Book Clubs. This is a wonderful opportunity to start or expand your home library. This is also a great introduction for children to the joys of reading. Scholastic offers books and magazines for the whole family. It offers everything you need to encourage the love of reading and learning. Scholastic sales also benefit our classrooms, as the preschool receives credit or bonus points that can be used towards purchasing classroom resources, books and materials. Each month or so, you will receive a Scholastics magazine. You can order from their website using our class code: RC164497
WITHDRAWAL FROM HAPPY HEARTS PRE-SCHOOL
Notification to withdrawal must be made in writing one month in advance of withdrawing from the program. One month’s tuition will be charged in the event that proper notification has not been received.
FIRST DAY OF CLASS
Classes will begin on September 11th (T Th) / September 12th (MWF)
The children are required to bring their indoor shoes to school and home every school day. We do recommend the children also keep an extra change of clothes in a backpack at their hook. They will have a hook in the hallway with their name on it, but this is a shared hook with children coming at different times.
FALL ORIENTATION
This year’s orientation will be on September 9th (T Th) and September 10th (MWF), 10.00-11.00 AM. We are hoping to spend some time together at the park after.

11th & 12th – First day of classes
30th – No School – National day for Truth and Reconciliation
October 13th – No School – Thanksgiving
30th & 31st – Special dress up day for Halloween (regular school hours)
November 11th – No School – Remembrance Day
13th & 14th – Rodeo days – dress as cowgirls and cowboys (regular school hours)
December 11th & 12th – Last day of school
13th – Santa’s breakfast
December 14th – January 4th – Christmas break
January 5th – School resumes
11th – Registration for next school year opens
22nd & 23rd – Winter carnival (regular school hours)
February 12th & 13th – Special event – Valentines Exchange (regular school hours)
16th – No School – Family Day
17th – 20th – No school – Winter break
23rd – School Resumes
April 3rd – No School – Good Friday
6th – 10th – No School – Spring Break
13th – School Resumes
May 7th & 8th – Ice-cream social
18th – No School – Victoria Day
June 8th & 9th – Year end activity – last day of class
10th – Graduation (evening for graduating kids and family only)
